With membership you get the chance to improve your game in competitions and to play in open competitions anywhere. Rights to use the club bar and clubrooms and all the other facilities that the club affords its members are also yours. For a friendly atmosphere with bags of fun in competitions, night golf, Texas scrambles and a whole lot more this club is hard to beat. A message from the Honorary Secretary Colin Schofield. First a few words to explain how the Gentlemen’s section of Altrincham Golf Club works. We are exactly the same as any other Private Golf Club the difference being that we play on a Municipal Golf Course with competitions nearly every Saturday and Sunday. At the moment we have two options when it comes to membership. We have a first year only offer of £50 where you pay £2.50 for every competition entered or we have our normal membership at £120 where all Competitions are free. Which deal will be best for you depends on how many times you plan to play. Our membership runs from March to March. We do not have a joining fee at present.
To play on the course you still have to pay your green fees which are either £16.50 at weekend or you can buy a season ticket for £450 or £45 per month. Again which option is best for you all depends on how often you intend to play. We have a block booking from 7:20am until 9:36am every Saturday and Sunday which are covered by our special club sheets which most members play on but you do not have to play on these times. Once the Secretary has received your form he will get in touch with you to invite you to a new members meeting which we usually have on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at about 2pm or on a Friday night at about 8:30pm. All new members must pay the appropriate annual subscription. These fees must be paid within 30 days of receipt of a letter of acceptance, failure to do so may result in the offer of membership being withdrawn. Irrespective of when a member joins the golf club the annual subscription is due again on March 1st each year. Cheques should be made payable to Altrincham Golf Club and, if posted, should be addressed to the Treasurer.
